Food prices are rising while the quality of the food that we can buy in the supermarkets is getting worse. Our food lacks nutrients and in turn is full of chemicals. That doesn’t only harm our health but also our soils and, most importantly, our planet Therefore we’re looking at solutions like permaculture and sustainable farming.

Whether you have a big piece of land or you want to grow some food on your balcony – we will teach you the first steps and help you to produce high quality, nutrient rich food right at your doorstep

We will start the morning with a theory/practical in the garden explaining the why and how we have arrived at the design we will implement.
Find out about soil fertility and different approaches to organic growing: No dig, low till, till, raised beds, sunken beds etc.
Also we will cover different forms of irrigation
and forms and theories of composting
methods: worm composting, rapid hot composting, cold composting etc.
Learn how to minimize your weeding
effort and smother out weeds for the whole season and how to maximize your production
even in the smallest of spaces. Here we will also cover the advantages and disadvantages of different mulches.
The whole garden plan
will be explained: why we are planting what where, how many of each variety of vegetable we are planting, the expected production, how much you would need to plant per person for a household veggie garden.
And of course you will get your hands dirty
and as a team we will get the entire area planted out with a mix of transplants and direct seeding.
