Here we hope to answer some of the more frequently asked questions in order to help you better plan your trip. Here we go!
Where is the nearest airport?
The nearest airports are Jerez de la Frontera (1h) and Seville (1.5h). Málaga is 2 hours by car.
When is Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-In days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are not doing Check-Ins on Monday.
Check-In is from 4pm to 8pm, other times are possible by prior arrangement.
Check-Out is at 12pm.
What are your conditions for bookings during COVID-19?
In the event that arrival to us is not possible in time for the start of the trip, we offer a free rebooking. This includes, for example, a blocking of the municipality Zahara de la Sierra or a travel ban for the province of Cadiz.
A prerequisite for the rebooking is that the accommodation is available in the selected period and is within the same season. Should the rebooking be of a trip in the low season to a trip in the high season, the difference can be paid by the guest and the trip can be rebooked to these dates.
We recommend that you take out travel insurance in order to be covered in the event of a flight that may be cancelled. We cannot offer a free cancellation in case of quarantine or similar, except for travel restrictions. As a small family business, it is not possible for us to cover all risks.
Our general rule remains that the booked accommodation can be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the trip. In this case, the down payment will of course be refunded.
How far is it to the coast?
The closest beach is approximately 1.5 hours away. The beautiful Atlantic coast near Cádiz makes a great day trip.
What if I book a room at Casa Vegana?
The living room, dining room and kitchen are shared by all guests of Casa Vegana. There are 5 rooms in total, each with its own bathroom. So you have a room all to yourself and the common areas are accessible for everyone staying in the house. You can also rent the entire house for 12 people.
Are dogs allowed at Finca Vegana?
Dogs and other animals are welcome in the 3 private houses. We do charge a one-time cleaning fee of 15 € per stay for dogs and cats. The poop of your dog is of course your responsibility. Usually dogs are allowed to run around freely. However, if we’ve got guests who are afraid of dogs or during events we are kindly asking you to keep them on a leash.
What are the houses equipped with?
Each house has its own kitchen with crockery, cutlery, gas stove and refrigerator. Some houses also have a microwave, toaster oven or hand blender. Just check the individual equipment of each house for this. There is also a fireplace in each house and a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Of course we also supply bed linen and towels. There are no televisions in any of the houses.
Is an early Check-In or late Check-Out possible?
An earlier arrival is not possible, as we need the time between check-out and check-in to prepare everything for you perfectly. As we don’t want to play any favours, we are generally happy to welcome you from 4 pm. For the same reason, check-out is at 12 noon at the latest.
Do you also offer food? If so, at what times?
We happily offer freshly prepared, homemade breakfast and dinner, just let us know the day before. We are offering Dinner from Thursday to Sunday. A minimum of 4 registered guests in total is required for us to offer dinner that day. We will show you how to register for dinner when you check in. Can I come if I’m not vegan? Would I have to go without anything then?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome at Finca Vegana, respecting the vegan character of our project, of course. This means that you won’t find any animal products at the Finca, except for a few dog turds 🙂 Therefore, we would kindly ask you not to bring any animal products. In addition to meat, this also includes fish, eggs and dairy products. We can certainly make you happy with delicious dishes and show you our culinary world. If you still have the feeling that you are missing something then the nearby village of Zahara offers plenty of traditional options.

Wi-Fi is very unreliable here in the countryside. Phone reception and data volume work very well. So if you rely on good internet, having your own data volume would definitely be an advantage.
